Woodward ranch plume agate cab ~
Offered here is a gorgeous cabochon of collectible Woodward Ranch moss/plume, from Texas. This distinctive old stock material is a longtime favorite for its wonderful translucence and colorful figure. Sure cuts a fascinating cab, I must say. This one features a variety of figures, including tubes, plumes and mosses. Nice contrast between the sparkly 'crushed ice' quartz and the background of clear agate, with splashes of the most desireable crimson red colors. One area, surrounding a small black plume, is a gemmy reddish gel, very translucent, as shown in the backlit photo. There are some teensy voids to be aware of in the crystalline areas, though I doubt you'll find that overly distracting. The small natural voids don't bother me a bit. The stone has a low rounded dome, a designer 'guitar pick' shape, and it is polished both front and back.
