Rutilated quartz cab ~
Offered here is a fancy cabochon of rutilated quartz, from Brazil. This is an unusual shape, much like a three sided pyramid with an extra high dome of 12mm. It features beautifully flashy needles of bright golden rutile, scattered like jackstraws. The water clear quartz really shows off, and even amplifies, this stone's heavy inclusions. Happily, there's very little 'fairy frost' present. And you should see how dazzling the rutile looks in direct sunlight, just like threads of spun gold! All sides of this stone have a smooth, gleaming polish.
