Pilbara jasper cab ~
Offered here is a bold cabochon of Pilbara jasper, from Australia, fresh from this year's Tucson shows. This material certainly cuts striking stones, with contrast aplenty. This example features an artistic arrangement of peachy streaks, as well as a neat banded fortication in palest pastel yellow-orange. The artful criss-crossing road map pattern really catches the eye, and I think it has a boatload of designer potential. If you do too, snag it and make it yours!! The cab has a high rounded dome of nearly 7mm, a gracefully elegant designer shape, and a glassy polish both front and back.
