Dinosaur bone cab ~
Offered here is a splendid cabochon of Utah's fossilized dinosaur bone, from Utah. This highly silicated material is many millions of years old, a marvelous example of the natural preservation of our earth's ancient, extinct 'thunder lizards'. Over millenia, the cells in this fossil bone have been replaced with blood red agate, and one or two white ones fortified like tiny agate thundereggs. Check out the enlarged photos to see the fascinating details. The tan cell walls form a sponge-like lattice, forever frozen in time. It's an amazing example of collectibly gemmy RED dinosaur bone! The cab has a rounded dome of 5mm, a gracefully curved designer shape, and a smooth glassy polish both front and back.
