Laguna lace agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon cut from laguna lace agate, from Mexico. This cab is a fascinating example, with a strong zig-zagging 'dogtooth' pattern composed of terminated crystal pseudomorphs. Great banded fortifications frame a core of lemon chiffon with a neat druzy pocket which wends, around eventually piercing the stone. There are a couple of well-healed hairlines present, but this beauty's quite sound. It should be a breeze setting it to best show it off. The stone has a well rounded dome of 5.5mm, a curvy designer 'drop' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
