Agua Neuva agate cab ~
Offered here is a deluxe cabochon of Agua Neuva agate, from Mexico. I often find that I favor this material even more than its long prized and famous cousin, Laguna agate, found nearby. This colorful example has large open tubes tinged with a rosy shade of raspberry, and a scattering of tiny dots which often characterize many collectible Mexican agates. Those tubes are enclosed by ribbony bands of orange, speckly white, and a couple shades of pastel pink. The stone is very gemmy and translucent, so there is a great dimension of depth. Gorgeous! The cab has a high rounded dome of nearly 5mm, a gracefully curved designer shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
