Offered here is a cabochon of butterfly jasper, from Mexico. This long time favorite brecciated jasper is a much sought after classic, and mighty tough to come by these days, in any quality. This cab is an outstanding example of grand old material, including a near-rainbow of colors as well as interesting veining. Those veins are naturally healed with a filling of agate and are simply part of the stone's unique pattern, so you just can't go wrong with this beauty; it definitely won't disappoint! The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 5mm, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
