Botswana agate cab ~
Offered here is a dramatic cabochon of Botswana agate, from Africa. This example was cut from a slice out of an old horde of agates, showing excellent contrast, and awesome fortification bandings framing the heart of the nodule. The bands are clear and white with grayish blue to brown, and nuances thereof, all beautifully translucent. There are a few teensy dots of red 'pepper' dendrites at the border of one of the outer bands. It has a high rounded dome of 6mm, a versatile drop shape, and it is polished to a glassy brilliance both front and back.
