Pilbara jasper cab ~
Offered here is a bold cabochon of Pilbara jasper, from Australia, fresh from this year's Tucson shows. This material certainly cuts striking stones, with contrast aplenty. This example features oodles of coral red and pink streaks, as well as some in yellow-orange. The artful criss-crossing road map pattern really catches the eye, and I think it has a boatload of designer potential. If you do too, snag it and make it yours!! The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, a graceful designer 'flame' shape, and a glassy polish both front and back.
