Offered here is a dramatic cabochon of Botswana agate, from Africa. Always a favorite around here, I was delighted to luck into a large cache of top notch slabs and nodules recently. This example has the strongly contrasting fortification bandings these agates are so prized for, a nice dollop of parallax, and rosy hues around the eye add to the appeal. This beauty is a natural show off, sure to look grand in even the simplest of settings. It's a treasure! The cab has a high rounded dome of 6.5mm, and a versatile designer shape, polished to a glassy brilliance both front and back.
