Deschutes jasper cab ~
Offered here is a fine cab of Deschutes jasper, from Oregon. A long time favorite in the celebrated family of porcelain jaspers, this classic old material has become quite collectibly rare (and expensive!) these days. This cabochon features a fabulous pattern of wavy tendrils in rich earthy tones of reddish browns and creamy tans, including some hints of blue/grays. There's a few teensy dendrites too, and happily, I can find no fractures, pits or other flaws anywhere. It's certainly chock full of character! It has a low rounded dome of 5mm, a crisp designer shape that contains the jasper's pattern beautifully, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
Size: 63x24mm
Weight: approximately 50 carats
