Turquoise ~
Offered here is a remarkable cabochon of turquoise from China, cut from premium hand selected rough fresh from this year's Tucson shows. This fabulous stone has deep turquoise blue coloration, with rich orangish brown spiderwebbing. It's absolutely beautiful, one of the most gorgeous examples I've cut in many years. It has what we used to call ZAT, which is a certain quality of outstanding character and appeal. It's definitely in the top 3 percent. This material has been stabilized by a hardening process, as is most modern turquoise, but it has not been subjected to artificial coloring of any kind. It will wear wonderfully, without dimming or fading. The cab has a generously high rounded dome of 7mm, a gracefully curved designer drop shape, and a slick glossy polish both front and back.
