Wave Hill agate cab ~
Offered here is a unique cabochon of Wave Hill agate, from Australia's Northern Territory. These exceptional agates are truly world class, and won my heart straight away. This example is a prize, with delightful dusty red, rose and white fortifications, and a several unusual orbs in a soft blue-gray shade. There are some partial bullseyes at the edges too. Plenty of character here. The color, I have to say, is a bit deeper in hand, and leans more toward pink than orange, but I did the best I could with these photos. It's definitely a KEEPER! This stone has a low rounded dome of 5mm, a FAT teardrop shape, and a great glassy polish both front and back.
