Dinosaur Bone cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of fossilized dinosaur bone, from Utah. This exceptionally well silicated material is many millions of years old, a marvelous example of the natural preservation of our earth's ancient, extinct 'thunder lizards'. Over millennia, the cells in this fossil bone have been completely replaced with a pastel shade of palest blue agate. The contrasting brown webbing is almost mossy in nature, framing every cell perfectly so it really stands out, even from a distance. Within nearly every cell are fascinating fortifications, very much like tiny agates or thundereggs, each with translucent cores. The cab has a well rounded dome of 5mm, and a gracefully curved designer shape, polished both front and back.
