Butterfly jasper cab ~
Offered here is an attractive cabochon of butterfly jasper, from Mexico. This long time favorite brecciated jasper (technically a rhyolite) is a much sought after classic, and a favorite in my studio. This stone is a delightful example of grand old material, with a near rainbow of wildly varied figure. Any odd lines are either totally and naturally healed or simply part of the pattern, so you just can't go wrong with this beauty; it definitely won't disappoint! The cab has a low rounded dome of 5+mm, a plump designer teardrop shape, and a smooth glassy polish both front and back.
