Dinosaur bone cab ~
Offered here is a GORGEOUS cabochon of fossilized dinosaur bone, from Utah. This highly silicated material is many millions of years old, and it is a marvelous example of the natural preservation of our earth's ancient, extinct 'thunder lizards'. The cells in this fossil bone have been completely replaced with crimson red agate, and each is framed with a lattice-like network of golden brown webbing. Those are the actual cell walls, and they're quite distinct here. Nearly all of the cells are fortified with subtle bands, just like tiny translucent agate nodules or thundereggs, and some show interesting cores. This is an example of top notch collectible gem bone, straight from my own personal stash. The cab has a well rounded dome of 5mm, a crisp designer shape, with a SLICK glassy polished both front and back.
