Priday moss agate cab ~
Offered here is a unique cabochon of Priday moss & tube agate, from the Priday Ranch digs in Oregon. This intriguing stone came from an old stock thunderegg that I grabbed out of the bucket just because it had a tiny chip showing a blood red fleck of agate. The first slice had this exciting display in it, freshly cabbed just yesterday. But there's way more going on besides those unusual red splashes: There are intricate tube-like tenticles, lacy yellow edgings, and even a burst of tiny plumes, all suspended in a translucent pool of agate. The surrounding matrix adds to the palette some nice burnt orange and pale avocado. It has a high rounded dome of 6+mm, a designer drop shape, and a great glassy polish both front and back.
Size: 40x25mm
Weight: approximately 46 carats
