Priday moss agate cab ~
Offered here is a fascinating cabochon of Priday moss agate, from the Priday Ranch digs in Oregon. I've had several boxes of old nodules stashed away for many years, and only got around to sawing into some of them this past fall. And what great FUN it's been to be the first to see inside!! This example has orangish mossy tendrils and ghostly white fortifications adrift in pools of translucent agate. The surrounding matrix forms a thin frame that serves well to contain the details. The stone has a nicely rounded dome of 5mm, a crisp designer 'arrowhead' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
