Wave Hill agate cab ~
Offered here is an extra special collector's cab of Wave Hill agate, from Australia's Northern Territory. This gemmy example is a shadow agate, with a core of dusty rose and clear fortification banding that rivals many of the finest Laguna or Fairburn agates. It has a great showing of parallax, despite the bold, thick bands, and has contrast and composition to die for! The outer edges of the stone have bullseyes with finer, more intricate bands in grayish browns, with a very slight purplish undertone. The uniqueness of each Wave Hill agate makes it a lapidary's fantasy, a collector's MUST HAVE, and a jewelry designer's best friend. Considering the quality and scarcity of these world class agates, I believe this one's a bargain at well under $3 per carat. It's YUMMY, and then some! This cab has a low but well rounded dome of 5mm, and a fat teardrop shape, with a great glassy polish both front and back.
Size: 31x23 mm
Weight: approximately 28 carats
