Imperial cab ~
Offered here is a unique cabochon of Imperial jasper, from Mexico. This fine porcelain material is becoming harder and harder to come by lately, particularly when you want pieces with the best figure and color. This one is a splendid example, featuring a pattern of oddly scalloped stripes in light and dark shades of burnt reddish orange. The stone has a low but nicely rounded dome, a long designer drop shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
