Carey plume agate ~
Offered here is a gorgeous cabochon of Carey plume agate, from Oregon. The source of this very rare material has been completely dug out long ago, and looking at the attractive color and figure here, I can certainly see why it was collected to extinction. All that you'll find nowadays in already in the hands of collectors, who tend to cherish them above everything else, and never let go. (Heh, I'm one of them!) This cab features a forest of dark blood red mossy plumes in a translucent agate base that includes some lovely lemon yellow areas. It's just the kind of stone to transform your next creation into a treasured heirloom! It has a low but nicely rounded dome of 4mm, a graceful designer 'teardrop' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
