Butterfly jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of fine old stock butterfly jasper, from Mexico. This long time favorite brecciated jasper is a seldom seen classic, and mighty tough to come by these days, in any kind of quality. This cab is an attractive example, with plenty of colorfully varied figure, including pastels of green, gold, blue, burnt orange and hints of pink. It also includes an interesting pool of dark translucent smoky agate, with white opalite water level lines, some of which are sort of ghostly. No cracks, just pattern, so you just can't go wrong with this one, it won't disappoint! The cab has a well rounded dome of 5mm, a fat designer teardrop shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
