Pietersite cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of African pietersite, cut by Christopher. This example is has silky chatoyance loosely arrayed in bars going across the stone. Most is golden, with overtones of reddish orange, and a dabs of both light and dark blues, with hints of green where the hues blend. This stone has a nicely rounded dome of 5mm, a designer 'lozenge' shape, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
