Amethyst sage agate ~
Offered here is a LARGE deluxe cabochon of amethyst sage agate, from Nevada. This appealing beauty is the kind I like best, featuring the classic mix of colors. The velvety burnt gold at one side contrasts wonderfully with the gemmy purples and lavenders at the other. There are a couple snowy and ochre patches too, and some interesting gold webs, though no dendrites. It has a generously high rounded dome of 7mm, a gracefully fluid 'flame' shape, and a brilliantly glassy polish both front and back.
