Wave Hill agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Wave Hill agate, from Australia's Northern Territory. It's not often that a 'new' material becomes an instant favorite of mine, but these exceptional agates won my heart straight away. This one's a beaut, with a pinkish fortification floating in a translucent crystalline pool, and a few unusual orbs in a dark burnt reddish-orange shade. There are some thick white bands and bullseyes at the edges too. Plenty of character here. This stone has a low rounded dome of 5mm, a FAT teardrop shape, and a great glassy polish both front and back.
