Turquoise ~
Offered here is a deluxe cabochon of top notch spiderweb turquoise, from China. This one has absolutely GORGEOUS spiderwebbing, and excellent contrast. The bright sky blue coloration is accentuated by edgings of rich brown, set off by the jet black matrix forming many of the webs. Nice change to olive green at one side too. No doubt this material has been stabilized by some hardening process, as is most modern turquoise, but I don't believe it has been subjected to artificial coloring of any kind. It polished like a dream, and will wear wonderfully, without changing over the years. The cab has a beautifully rounded dome of nearly 7mm, a crisp triangular shape, and a smooth glossy polish both front and back.
