Butterfly wing jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of fine old stock butterfly wing jasper, from Mexico. This long time favorite is actually a brecciated rhyolite, a seldom seen classic, and the best quality is none too easy to come by these days. This cab is an interesting example, dominated by a fortified patch of snow white opalite, that includes an island of 'jasper' within it. It's a beauty! No cracks, just wild pattern that's quite unique. This substantial cab has a high and nicely rounded dome of 6.5mm, a smooth designer shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
