Berrendo agate cab ~
Offered here is a cab of Berrendo red agate, from Mexico. This newly found agate comes in nodular form, dug close by and quite similar to the classic old Tabasco red thundereggs that everyone loves. It very much reminds me a little of Yellow Cat petrified wood too, as there is a strong resemblance. I love RED agate of any kind, and these eggs are great fun to cut, even when they're heartbreakingly fractured. This one also has a tiny healed veil, but the brilliant crimson color, outrageous fortification bands, and gemmy translucence make it a treasure nonetheless. I think you'll be well pleased to own it. The stone has a low rounded dome of about 4mm, and a brilliantly glassy polish both front and back.
