Bishop Ranch plume agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Bishop Ranch plume agate, from Texas. This unusual stone came from a slice that was cut across the plumes, giving them a flowery tube-like look. The black and white contrast is outstanding, as the bouquet seems to float in a translucent to milky agate that sets them off beautifully. There are some subtle fortifications present too, and intriguing gray-coated formations within the stone, adding to the appeal. The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, an elegant drop shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
