Willow Creek jasper cab ~
Offered here is a remarkable cabochon of Willow Creek jasper, from Idaho. Affectionately dubbed the queen of jaspers, this material certainly deserves its reputation among the classic porcelain jaspers. It's a long time favorite in my studio, and also the one my dear Rain most enjoys. This example has a palette that inludes rose, pink, yellow, cream, pastels of gold, and dabs of magenta down one side. As for the pattern, I'll have to let the photos do the talking! The cab has a very low rounded dome of 4.5mm, a crisp designer 'spear' shape, and a gleaming polish both front and back.
