Noreena jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of noreena jasper, from the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The color and figure very much reminds me of mungina stone, which is also rather soft, but with an even wilder pattern. The deep reds frame muted pink 'windows' shading to mauve, and it's highlighted with slashes of flaming yellow. This cab has a rounded dome of 5mm, a versatile crescent shape, and it is polished both front and back.
