Priday moss agate cab ~
Offered here is a truly fascinating cabochon of Priday moss agate, from the Priday Ranch digs in Oregon. It was cut from the heart of a hand selected old stock nodule, one that I certainly wish was bigger. -heh- The absence of plume in this unique stone isn't something you'll miss much because it has just about everything else, including wildly undulating tubes, a few mossy frills, beautiful fortified blue agate with a splash of red, snow white water level lines and sparkly crushed-ice crystal. There's neat greenish patches of matrix too, which seem to float on top, partially framing the stone's translucent depths. This colorfully busy cab has a well rounded dome of 5.5mm, a plump 'flame' shape that'll be fun to work with, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
