Botswana agate cab ~
Offered here is a super dramatic cabochon of Botswana agate, from Africa. This classic stone is a long time favorite of mine, one of the very first materials I ever worked with. The intricate fortification bandings (with parallax) in this example are totally awesome, even nicer in person. It's got plenty of contrast and detail, a real keeper! Even the darkest areas have banding, though it's somewhat more subtle. This one is well worthy of your best creative talents, even though it's fancy enough to show off in even the simplest of settings. It has a rounded dome of 5mm, a gracefully curved designer shape, and it is polished to a glassy brilliance both front and back.
