Royal Sahara jasper cab ~
Offered here is an interesting carved cabochon of the new Royal Sahara jasper, recently found in the North African Sahara desert. This amazing porcelain material has a remarkably exotic pattern, and it's often scenic, like looking out the opening of a cave. This example has wildly swirling ribbons of rich earthy tones, framing some weirdly scenic 'rock formations' in golden ochre. It does have a few minor pinpoint voids, but it's quite special nonetheless. Design something extraordinary around this one and you'll see, this stuff is magical! This stone has a nicely rounded dome of 5mm, and a whimsical designer shape you're sure to have fun with, smoothly polished both front and back.
