Blue dinosaur bone cab suite ~
Offered here is a matching trio of fossilized dinosaur bone cabochons, from Utah. This highly silicated material is many millions of years old, and it is a marvelous example of the natural preservation of our earth's ancient, extinct 'thunder lizards'. The cells in this fossil bone have been completely replaced with grayish blue agate, with a couple patches of reddish brown, and each is framed with a lattice-like network of black webbing. Those are the actual cell walls, and they're quite distinct in these examples. The large cab has a well rounded dome of 5mm, and a long parallelogram shape. The smaller pair are 4mm in thickness, with a complimentary diamond shape. Each stone has an extra smooth glassy polish both front and back.
