Rhodochrosite cab suite ~
Offered here is a gorgeous trio of rhodochrosite cabochons, from Catamarca, Argentina. Very VERY little was available, in this calibre, at this year's Tucson shows; my source got every bit of it that wasn't shipped out of the States, so I'm extra happy to have any. I used it to cut this delicious set of matching cabs, which feature vibrant shades of hot pink coloration with intricately banded zig-zag patterns. The smaller pair also have a lighter pink 'eye' on their inside curve. Each of the three cabs has a delightful degree of crystalline translucence, amazingly gemmy. I am certain you'll do great things with these fabulous beauties! The large stone has a generously high rounded dome of 7mm, while the smaller pair are 3mm in thickness. Each has a gracefully curved designer shape, and a smooth glossly polish both front and back. And believe me, they are a STEAL at my per carat price!
