Offered here is a splendid cabochon of top notch African pietersite. This colorful stone is a real beaut, featuring silky light and dark blue and golden yellow chatoyance in a swirling, streaky pattern that dances with the light. Patches of fiery red to reddish orange add even more color to the appealing palette of this stone, and have a bit of chatoyance too; please be sure to click the pics to enlarge them to full size to see the fine details. It has a low but nicely rounded dome of 4mm, a gracefully curved designer shape, and an excellent glassy polish both front and back. And considering how the cost of fine pietersite has sky-rocketed in recent years, my per carat price for a stone of this size and quality is a genuine bargain!
