Dryhead agate ~
Offered here is a large cabochon of collectible Dryhead agate, from Montana. This example has a heart of creamy orange chiffon that includes fortifications framing sealed crystalline pools. To either side are fortified plume-like figures in more golden pastels, with several burnt orange, pink, brick shades. There are a couple nice eyes too, at the larger end. The colors here are perhaps more delicate than in some I've cut, but there is a great deal of outstanding detail in the stone. This beauty has a high rounded dome of 6mm, and a smooth designer 'bullet' shape, which is polished both front and back.
