Larimar cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of larimar, from the Dominican Republic. I saw this intriguing material a few years ago at the Quartzite shows, and knew we had to drag some home to my lapidary studio. Should've gotten a LOT more! The rough has been a pleasure to work with, much easier and finer than I imagined it would be. The gorgeous sky blue coloration of this gemmy pectolite is amazing, and is unique in all the world. Beautiful shifting chatoyance in the whitish areas. This cab has a very high rounded dome of 7.5mm, a designer 'pillow' shape, and a smooth glassy polish both front and back.
