Pilbara jasper cab suite ~
Offered here is a set of three matching cabochons of Pilbara jasper, a recent Australian find, fresh from this year's Quartzite shows. This new material certainly cuts striking stones, with contrasting coloration in black, red, white and pink, with a splash or two of bright mustard yellow. The impressively artful criss-crossing road map pattern really catches the eye, giving these stones tremendous designer potential. The largest cab has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, while the smaller pair are 3.5-4mm in thickness. They each have triangular pillow shapes, and a smooth glassy polish both front and back.
