Inferno agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of AWESOME inferno agate, a brand new Mexican arrival fresh from this year's Tucson shows. This example has a variety of outrageously wild figure which includes loose filament mosses, fortification banding, tiny dots, a crystalline drusy pocket, and flame-like plumes in very appropriate shades of crimson, mauve and yellow. The background agate is nicely translucent, somewhat amber in color. It's absolutely amazing stuff, despite a slight degree of pitting; I doubt you'll find that overly distracting. Gorgeous material, I truly wish I'd brought home more! This large cab has a generously high rounded dome of 6mm, a fat designer 'flame' shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
