Variscite cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of gemmy variscite, from Utah. This is a lovely example of fine old stock material that's become rather scarce these days. It features cool greens that reminds me of pistachio ice cream (my favorite), with deeper minty green streaks. There's even a bit of subtle spiderwebbing. I think the green colors of the variscite is something a computer monitor cannot do proper justice to, really, but the pics give you the idea; it's a nice one! The cab has a well rounded dome of 5mm, a long designer 'spear' shape, and it is polished both front and back.
