Sonora sunrise cab ~
Offered here is a bold cabochon of Sonora Sunrise, from Mexico. This fabulous new material has a wonderfully striking color combination, and it is 100% natural. It's on the spendy side, but I think it's well worth it. This fine example has better than average color, and an attractive artsy pattern of black tenorite against blue-green chrysocolla and blood red cuprite. There are also some flecks of olive green here and there. It's truly striking, chock full of designer potential, as this material just naturally captures admiring attention wherever it goes. I think you'll do great things with it, in even the simplest of settings. The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 6+mm, a long designer 'spear' shape, and a surprisingly glossy polish both front and back.
