Larimar cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of larimar, a rare blue variety of gemmy pectolite from the only known source in the Dominican Republic, in the Caribbean. I should've gotten a LOT more rough when I had the chance, because the price has risen steadily over the years. This example has gorgeous sky blue coloration with a nice degree of shifting chatoyance in rounded bursts. And oddly enough, it also has a darker blue stroke of lightning. This cab has a low rounded dome of 4mm, and a smooth glassy polish both front and back.
