Larimar cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of larimar. I saw this intriguing material a few years ago at the Quartzite shows, and knew we had to drag some home to my lapidary studio. Should've gotten a LOT more! The rough has been a pleasure to work with, much easier and finer than I imagined it would be. The gorgeous sky blue coloration is amazing, and absolutely 100% natural, not the result of any treatments or dyes. Nice shifting chatoyance in the whitish areas. This cab has a nicely rounded dome, a designer 'pillow' shape, and a smooth glassy polish both front and back.
