Royal Sahara jasper cab ~
Offered here is an interesting cabochon of the new Royal Sahara jasper, a unique find in the North African Sahara desert. This example has a ribbony pattern of rich chocolate browns against a background of golden ochres and tans, some of which has attractive greenish overtones. This stone has a high rounded dome of nearly 6mm, a gracefully curved designer shape, and it's polished both front and back to a brilliant glassy shine.
