Sonora sunrise cab ~
Offered here is a bold cabochon of Sonora Sunrise, from Mexico, the second in this week's group. This extraordinary material has striking colors, and it is completely natural. It's definitely on the spendy side, but totally worth it in my book. This extra fancy stone not only has the usual blue/green chrysocolla with bright crimson red cuprite combination, but also has stripes of purplish red and splotches of grass green. The stripes show an odd metallic sheen, in hand. If you want vibrant stones with shocking color, Sonora Sunrise fills the bill perfectly! I think you'll do great things with this one! The cab has a low rounded dome, a bold designer shape, and an excellent glossy polish both front and back.
