Plume agate cab ~
Offered here is a unique cabochon of white plume agate. This came to me as a single slab so I'm uncertain where it comes from but this material is anything but run-of-the-mill. It has a fascinating pattern of ornate plumes in snow white and old ivory, suspended in a background of translucent agate, including one small bluish fortification. The pictures don't reveal it much, but the translucent areas have a slightly opalescent quality, and there's a scattering of teensy black flecks of marcasite, which have a silvery glitter where they meet the surface. The stone has a nicely rounded dome of 5mm, a designer 'chevron' shape, and a glassy polish both front and back.
