Petrified wood cab ~
Offered here is an interesting cabochon of petrified sequoia wood, from Oregon. This fossil material is actually a wood replacement. I don't know what species it is, but the once-living tree's ring pattern is certainly very well defined in the agate. The colors are earthy hues of brown, cream and caramel, and some of the darkest areas do show a nice translucence. It'll look grand in most any setting, or shown off in your pet wood collection. The cab has a well rounded dome of 5mm, an elegant designer 'drop' shape, and a smooth glassy polish both front and back.
