Malachite cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of malachite, from Zaire. It features the classic beauty of countless fine bandings in rich, vividly contrasting shades of light and dark green. The darkest stripes seem to show just a hint of chatoyance. And the lighter band has a scattering of tiny orbs; in fact, one band is composed entirely of those same tiny 'bubbles'. This one will look absolutely magnificent set in either silver or gold, no doubt. The cab has a high rounded dome of 6+mm, a designer 'leaf' shape, with a super glossy polish both front and back. Way WAY under a buck a carat!!!
